Yeah! It's Easter!

So the Easter Weekend is finally here.  The weather was sunny and cool today.  Russell moved the trailer so he could cut down a tree in the front yard that was dying.  I started to clean out the trailer and move some of the summer stuff out.  We use the trailer to pack the summer stuff in during the winter e.g. pool items, hammock.  TIMBER, the tree went down....what a mess.  Spent most of the day cleaning up the brush and piling the wood...okay, Russell spent most of the day cleaning up the mess.  I went for a 3 km walk and made scallop potatoes and a ham roast for supper! mmmm good.  Now watching Oprah and waiting for Allison to return with a couple of movies and a coffee and tea from Timmies! 

Having the family for Easter dinner on Sunday.  Happy Easter Weekend everyone! 

Family Day - February 21st

During the Ontario provincial election in 2007, eventual winner Dalton McGuinty of the Liberal Party promised that if re-elected premier he would establish a provincial holiday in February. On 12 October 2007, the provincial government established Family Day with the first being observed on 18 February 2008. Its creation raised Ontario's number of public holidays to nine per year.

Lady GaGa

Getting closer to the big day!  Going to see Lady GaGa on March 3rd at the Air Canada Centre with my buddy, Natalie.  Can't wait!  Right after work, we're getting our piglet's painted, then racing to T.O.  I'm really hoping to get a blond wig so I can 'try' and imitate her...maybe my eldest daughter will 'do up' my face.  Have to head to Value Village and check out some clothes!

I was surprised!

Friday, left work a little early to go to Lynn D.'s house for a Kenner staff visit and to my surprise received a phone call from the board office saying I had a flower delivery!  WTH, who would send me flowers?  Well, I returned to the office and my hubby had sent me a dozen long stemmed pink roses.  They were beautiful!

Another surprise, my buddy Natalie, got us tickets to go see Lady GaGa in March!  OMG, it will be an awesome event!  That week is filled with events...SheShe party, pedicure, Lady GaGa and dinner with Janis and Karen!  Nice!

Yeah! It's the weekend!

I'm so happy it's the weekend!  It's been tough going to work this week, I think I've lost the 'passion'.  Things are moving faster and faster!  All my hard work I thought would pay off, but now I see it slipping away~!  Wondering what I can do? 

Nothing planned for the weekend, but may drop in at my good friend Lynn's tonight and see what the Kenner staff have been up to!

Saturday and Sunday??? Who knows?  My good buddy, Pamela, is heading to Florida ~ so jealous!

It's Sunday!

Had a great day yesterday - cleaned the house in the morning and then my honey and I put the counter tops together in my office.  It's looking very nice....just a few minor adjustments to make today.  Last night Becca and Kyle came for dinner and a visit.  Sure was nice to see them both.  Today I'm hoping to go see the movie, The King's Speech...maybe Allison will come with me.  I also need to go to Wallyworld and print my Christmas pictures to put together my album.  I find with digital photography, you must print the pictures or they just sit in a file on the computer. You tend to forget about them there, but if they're in an album you are more apt to take a peek.

Report Card Day

Today, Eirin and I were at the board office supporting teachers on report cards.  ETFO designated this P.A. Day as an assessment day.  Things have been going well...steady, but not overwhelming!  Other staff in the department were in different parts of the board providing training to E.A.'s on technology.  It would have been nice to have been part of this....oh well!

Looking forward to visit Mom and Dad after work today.  Becca and Kyle will be coming for dinner tomorrow night - will be nice to see them, especially Kyle who I haven't seen in a while.  I miss his pointed head!

I turned around...

Well headed to Bowmanville to go to a school this morning and another one this afternoon.  Well got to the Millbrook turn and made a bee line back to the Board Office.  Saw 3 vehicles in the ditch and watched one go in....Black ice!  yuk!  So I'm now at the office and I'll sit here and wait to see what it's like later this morning to try and make the another school this afternoon.  Winter = yuk!

It's a snow day!

Well, it's the first snow day this winter.  Everyone is happy!  Buses were cancelled and I was able to 'work' from home.  Teachers are working on 'report cards', students are playing outside, and my youngest daughter is sleeping her life away!
